September 17, 1963 – February 21, 2020
Paul Hanus succumbed to his silent, yet exceptionally painful disease of depression. Paul fought a brave battle with strength for a number of years from the ravages of this physically invisible illness. Paul’s depression was as deadly and painful as any cancer or heart disease, and Paul chose to end this suffering. Paul spent countless hours working tirelessly on several charities in Saskatoon. He loved working with charities that served children, they were his favorite. Paul’s hands were rarely still, and he had a passion for anything that was powered by a fossil fuel. He shared his avid love of cars with his son, brother and numerous friends and customers. Paul was the loving son of the late Hedwig and Fernie Hanus. He is survived by his children Olivia (Joe) and Austin, wife Pamela, sisters Agnes (Chris), Isabel (Duane), brother Robert (Shauna) and his many nephews and nieces. All of these he loved and touched deeply. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Care and Share Saskatoon. Please join us celebrating Paul’s life at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Dr.) in Saskatoon. Arrangements in care of Travis Minor – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
