Ralph was born in Nipawin, SK and married Darlene Weigel in 1973. They resided on the farm north of Garrick for 42 years.
Ralph was a farmer and cowboy at heart but also a skilled woodworker, carpenter and commercial construction supervisor.
Ralph was an avid community member and served on many committees when he was not working away from home.
Family gatherings were very important to him and he enjoyed visiting with extended family when he could. Family camping trips were always a big part of summers and something he looked forward too! After many years of camping at various Saskatchewan lakes, Ralph and Darlene purchased a lake property in 2006 at Candle Lake. In 2015 they moved to the lake full time and resided there until Darlene's passing in 2020.
In retirement Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the wildlife at the lake, pontoon boat rides, fishing, campfires with his grandchildren, trips to the casino, collecting antiques including a 1939 Model A Ford, making woodworking requests for family and helping his kids with home renovations. Ralph was always ready to help with the next project!
Ralph will be missed dearly and his memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
Thank you to all the staff at Sherbrooke Community Center for supporting Ralph and family through the last 4 years.
A graveside service and gathering will be held in the future at Garrick, SK.
