

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts announcing the death of Raymond “Ray” Joseph Fisher at St. Paul’s hospital on Friday June 7, 2024 at the age of 92 with his family by his side. Ray was born on April 11, 1932 on a farm near Regina, Saskatchewan. Ray was predeceased by his parents Marie Victoria Bellerose and Lucien Ernst Fisher and seven other siblings and his wife, Gladys Irene Fisher. He attended school in a one room school house at Touchwood Hills School.
He started working on the Highways driving gravel trucks and heavy equipment until he decided to pursue his passion for barbering in Delisle, Saskatchewan where he purchased the Bentley’s Pool hall and opened his barber shop, giving haircuts till he was 88 years old, right up until his last major stroke that made him reside in a nursing home.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Deanna Girod and husband Terry Regush and grandchildren Brodie Girod and Riley Girod, also his sister Rita Marie Spina and Yolanda Marie Fisher.
Ray loved spending time with family, visiting friends and customers.
Along with camping, golfing, curling and cherishing the moments watching his grandchildren with all their activities especially hockey and baseball. He was known to shoot a mean game of pool nickname “King Pin”
The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday June 13, 2024 at Delisle United Church (316 First Street West, Delisle, Saskatchewan).
