

Bob passed away at Royal University Hospital on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the age of 79. He was born May 26, 1941 in Winnipeg, MB. He was raised by his parents Sven & Eva Pearson. Bob grew up with one sister, and later in life he met his birth family and connected with 5 brothers and 3 more sisters.
Bob was raised in Sheridan, MB until the age of 9 when they moved to Lynn Lake, MB.
In the Summer of 1959 Bob was employed at the Sherritt Gordan Mine and he was sent to work in Laurie River, MB at the Power Camp. This is where he met his wife to be, Sophia. In May of 1963 Bob & Sophia were married and in 1966 they moved to Saskatoon, SK.
Bob got a job working underground at Potash Company of America. He decided to leave the mine in 1974 and he became a truck driver for Sieman’s Transport. Two years later he started his life long career with the City of Saskatoon Transit as a bus driver. In 1998 he became a driver instructor with Transit but in order to get this position he had to get his grade 12. He enrolled at Siast and completed his GED with excellent marks. Bob retired from transit in 2001 after 25 years of service.
Bob loved to drive so much that after his retirement he took a job with Adessa part time to keep himself busy.
Bob was a sports enthusiast, whether playing or watching on television. He played hockey, curling, baseball, bowling and liked to golf. He also enjoyed family camping and fishing trips.
Bob & Sophia loved to travel and took every opportunity to explore different parts of the world. Bob really enjoyed his Cruises, and the many bus trips that they went on. A couple of his favourite trips were Alaska and Australia/New Zealand. Robert was predeceased by his parents Sven & Eva Pearson; Beverly Gospodyn (birth mother); sisters Marie Parsons and Marilyn Willerton; and brother Ken Gospodyn.
He leaves behind his wife Sophia of 57 years; daughter Elaine (David); son Robert (Wendy); son Andrew; and daughter Patricia (Clarence); as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
