

1931 – 2019
Robert passed away peacefully on January 13, 2019, at the age of 87 at St. Ann’s Nursing Home, Saskatoon, SK. He was born on July 28, 1931, in Ceylon, SK to Michael and Marguerite Nimegeers. Robert was the eldest of four children. He spent his younger years at Troy School and Forget Convent before attending Weyburn Collegiate. After leaving high school, Robert began to farm with his dad west of Radville, SK. In 1956, Robert married Theresa Fradette. Taking over the family homestead, they continued to farm for the next 50 years. They raised their family on the farm and then moved to Radville in 1987. After retirement, Robert and Theresa moved to Saskatoon in 2007. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his wife Theresa; daughter Debbie Nimegeers of Burstall, her children Ian (Danielle) McLean and Sara McLean; daughter Janet (Jack Frondall) of Moosomin, their children Greg (Stephanie and their son Jonathan), Kent (Whitney Cole), and Ward; daughter Kathy (Derik Simpson) of Calgary, their children Matthew (Amanda Harding) and Jessica; daughter Sandra Labrecque (Patrick Grise) of Saskatoon, her children Nicholas and Eric; son Craig (Sheri) Nimegeers of Saskatoon, their children Brad and Andrew; his sister Shirley (Brian Hall) of California; sisters-in-law Edith Viguie, Lucille Mazenc, Helen Fossenier, Emelia (Wayne Hunter), Arlene Fradette, Yolanda Fradette; brothers-in-law Armand Fradette, Maurice (Carol) Fradette; along with numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Robert was predeceased by his brother Melvin Nimegeers; sister Diane Kater; in-laws Eva Nimegeers, Roger Fradette, Alex Fradette, Rose Eva and Gordon Brown, John Fradette, Gilbert Fradette, Henry Mazenc, Alphonse Fossenier, and Doreen Fradette; and many relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Holy Family Cathedral (123 Nelson Rd, Saskatoon, SK). A private family interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
