

Ron was born April 4,1937 on the farm at Dubuc, SK. Married to Merlyne Anderson July 15, 1961. Predeceased by his father Percy and mother Elsa; sisters Donna Snyders and Irene Tetlow; brothers-in-law Jack Ackerman, Lesley Kovacs, and James Tetlow; nephew Gary Kovacs.
Ron received his early education in Dubuc before moving to Regina in 1956, where he worked various jobs until joining Paulin‑Chambers Biscuit Co. in 1958. A transfer later brought him to Saskatoon, where he continued his long career through several company transitions, including Interbake Foods and Culinar Foods Inc., eventually acquired by Saputo. Ron retired on December 30, 1999, after 42½ years of dedicated service, having worked his way up to the role of Distribution Manager.
Ron and Merlyne purchased a property at the Village of Mistusinne on Lake Diefenbaker in 1978 – 1979. They enjoyed it very much with family and friends until 2024 when Ron and Merlyne sold the property. They were part of the “Wandering Wheels” Trailer Club for 17 years.
Ron is survived by his sister, Elaine Kovacs, and family; his wife of 64 years, Merlyne; son, Garth (Lindi) Anderson; daughter, Heather (Darryl) Fielding; granddaughter, Amanda (Tyler) Holynski; grandson, Anthony Fielding (partner Hannah); and five great-grandchildren: Dominic, Donovan, and Kinsley Holynski, and Justice and Summer Fielding.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan. Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date.
