Ronald Wayne Outten

March 10, 1947 – June 9, 2025
Obituary of Ronald Wayne Outten
IN THE CARE OF

Mourning Glory Funeral Services

Ron lost his battle with multiple myeloma on Monday, June 9, 2025 at the age of 78.

Ron was born in Brooks, Alberta and raised in Bowness in Calgary.

He was the last of his siblings to pass away and lost his parents Thomas (Jack) and Edith Outten many years ago. His wife Ruth Outten passed away 6 years ago.

They leave behind 2 daughters, Kristen and Heather (Mark); 3 grandsons, Ashton, Hunter, Emmett; and a great granddaughter Adeline Rose.

Ron loved to travel and had been to 45 countries and every continent but one. He was always fascinated with Mount Everest, he read every book, magazine article, and watched every movie and documentary about it. Ron used to compete in Chili Cookoffs in the 80’s and had won many medals and trophies. He also had a great love for fishing, camping, painting, listening to music and going to Rodeo’s with his grandsons. He loved going to Jan Lake for the past 30 years with his girls and grandsons among other fishing trips.

He loved getting together with friends and family and always knew how to have a good time. He will be forever missed but in our hearts and memories forever.
