
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rose, after a brief battle with cancer. She lost her battle at the age of 96 in Saskatoon surrounded by family.
She taught piano lessons to hundreds of children over a 75 year music career, culminating with providing music enjoyment to patients and visitors at St.Paul's and City Hospital in Saskatoon.
Born at Scott, Saskatchewan to Valentine and Magdalena Gerein, she married Frank Miller in Unity Saskatchewan in 1945, moving to Meadow Lake in 1950 where they resided until moving to North Battleford in 1966 where they lived until Frank's passing in 2001.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, Valentine and Magdalena, her siblings and respective spouses: Julia(Bill) Picard, Barbara(Merrill) Churchill, Mary(John) McHonick, Evelyn(Walter) Sayer, Madeline(Harold) Chase, Betty(Bob) McCubbing, Anne(Trevor) Veale, Margaret(Karl) Krips, Ned(Donna) Gerein and Walter Gerein. Brother in law Herb Miller, Brother in law Len Miller and sister in law Marie Miller, and Brother in law Rudy Rehn
She is survived by her children: Don(Beverley) of Saskatoon and their children grandson Warren(Andrea), their daughters Madison and Mackenzie and granddaughter Nicole(Steve): Daughter Karen(Guy) Cusmano of Surrey B,C. and their children grandson Greg (Melody) great grandsons Benjamin, Noah and granddaughter Michelle.
Also surviving are her brother Ray(Lillian) Gerein of Saskatoon. sister in law Marcy Matsalla, sister Adeline Posch, brother in law Victor(Joan) Miller, sister in
law Hannah Miller and sister in law Doris Miller.
The Funeral Service will take place at Acadia Funeral-McKague’s Funeral Centre, 915 Acadia Drive Saskatoon, Father Denis Phaneuf officiating at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6 2017.
A private interment will take place in North Battleford Cemetery later that day.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to a charity of your
choice.
