Roseanna Amelia Royal

November 6, 1948 – July 3, 2016

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roseanna Royal announces her passing on July 3, 2016 at St. Paul’s Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on November 6, 1948 in Whitecap Dakota First Nation, SK. She lived in Whitecap Dakota for the majority of her life. Roseanna had a passion for family, life and cooking. She was predeceased by, her mother Mabel Redbear; her father Nicholas Redbear; brothers Raymond Redbear and Roy Redbear; and sister Shirley Elliott. She is lovingly remembered by her loving husband Ralph Royal; her children Maxine (Brad) Bear, Darcy Bear, Nicole (Ray) Johnstone, Terry (Tracy) Parenteau, Gregory Parenteau and Richard (Sheri) Parenteau; 26 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; sisters Vivian Anderson and Lois (Wayne) Bear; brother Lorne Bear; and numerous special nieces and nephews. A Wake Service for Roseanna will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 4:00PM from the Whitecap Dakota Elementary School Gymnasium (Whitecap, SK). The Funeral Service will be held from the same location on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Whitecap Cemetery.
