

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Brickner on October 30, 2025, in her home at Preston Park Saskatoon. Rose was born on August 20, 1927, to Jacob and Barbara Hauck in Cheviot, SK. She was the oldest of eight siblings. Rose attended Lone Star School in Clavet completing Grade 10. At this point she was needed to help on the family farm. Rose met Johnny at a barn dance in Bradwell and was married October 17, 1949. They farmed in Colonsay for 7 years. During that time, they had three children Joanne, Don, and Terri. They moved to Saskatoon in 1957 where they bought their first home. They completed their family with the birth of Carla. Mom was a homemaker and a wonderful seamstress. She made many wedding gowns, dresses and outfits for family and friends. Together they started the business Brickner’s Appliance Service in 1971. Rose ran the administration side and Johnny did the work. Mom is survived by her husband of 76 years, John Brickner as well as their children Joanne (Robert) Neil, Don (Linda) Brickner, Terri (Brad) Rejesky, and Carla (Rob) Dubyk, grandchildren Chad (Amy) Rejesky, Dean (Emily and Alexis Hoddinott) Rejesky, and Lesia Dubyk and great-grandchild Izadora Rejesky, sisters-in-law, Eileen Hauck, Verna Hauck, and Joyce Hauck as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, parents-in-law and all her siblings as well as John’s siblings. The family wishes to thank the staff at Preston Park 1 for their compassionate care. Service and Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kyle Werminsky.
