Sally Marcella Jane Hogg (nee Waschuk) is lovingly remembered by her husband Ronald and brothers David Laurence, James Waschuk (Diana) and William Waschuk (Janice) and many other family members and friends. She passed away at North Shore Hospice, North Vancouver on November 23, 2024, just shy of her 80th birthday and seven months following her diagnosis with fourth stage cancer.
Sally was born in Brantford, Ontario on December 29, 1944, the first born of John and Eva Waschuk. She grew up in Swan River and Thompson, Manitoba. She met and married Ronald in Saskatchewan in 1971.
Sally’s life was largely defined by her early commitment to her Christian faith. A gifted pianist among other instruments, she was the principal musician for numerous churches starting at age 13. While music, both as a musician and singer was ever present, Sally’s greatest joy was presenting the Christian gospel to children and adults at numerous churches and First Nations reserves. Her hobbies included the writing of gospel music and genealogy research for family and friends.
Sally is buried at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan beside her father and mother.
