Sharon lived most of her life in her parents’ home on Colony Street in Saskatoon. Her deafness did not limit her activities nor her sense of humour. She was fearless in going anywhere in Saskatoon. Sharon loved her books and read voraciously throughout her life.
The other constant was he abiding love for cats. She always kept at least one cat with her. They brought love and joy to her at all times.
Sharon loved clothes and was constantly buying something new. Even as her physical health was deteriorating, she always dressed nicely as she walked the streets of Saskatoon.
Unfortunately, her physical and mental strength diminished in the last few years and she was in the wonderful care of Luther Special Care Home. Sharon still showed her sense of humour on occasion and Lisa and her staff showed a great affection for her.
Our thanks goes out to Lisa and the staff at Luther Special Care Home and to Dr. Morrow (Saskatoon Community Clinic) and Dr. Rayner at Royal University Hospital for their care of Sharon in her vulnerable condition.
Donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to SPCA (Saskatoon Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) or a deaf charity of your choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Travis Minor.
