On Friday, April 10, we lost an amazing mother, daughter, nana, sister, auntie, caregiver, activist and friend. Shelley Cooper-Stephenson passed away as she had wanted at her home, surrounded by love. She will forever be remembered for her kindness and generosity towards everyone she encountered. Shelley was predeceased by her mother Elsie Stephenson. She is survived by her son Coran Cooper-Stephenson (Jennifer); stepson Doug Lucas; grandchildren Berlin, Maven, Graydon and Isla; her father Ken Stephenson; brother Glenn Stephenson (Gail), niece Amanda Stephenson, nephews Jared Stephenson (Leticia) and Sean Stephenson; as well as numerous cousins and many incredible friends. A Celebration of Shelley's Life will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 3:00 pm at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street. Attendees are invited to wear purple and bring their dancing shoes.
