Susie Sawatsky

Susie “Sue” Sawatsky passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit. She is survived by her sons Randy (Judy), Terry (Corrine) and son-in-law Bob Bender; grandchildren Darby Semeniuk, Jamie Wilson (Chris), Ryan Sawatsky, Brent Sawatsky (Vanessa), Kasey McMahon (Patrick), Nikki Bender, Randi Patenaude (Andre), and Jonathan Bender; and eight beautiful great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John, her daughter Melanie, her parents and all her siblings. Mom was born and raised in Saskatoon. She met Dad in 1953 and they were married in 1955. Mom was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom to her three children. She loved cooking, baking and tending to her flowers. Mom also enjoyed many years at the family cabin. She was loved and will be missed very much. A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Royale, the home care staff who took such great care of her and also the nursing staff at the Palliative Care Unit in St. Paul’s Hospital for their compassionate care during Mom’s final days.
