Sylvia "Elaine" Gustafson

December 28, 1930 – September 22, 2017

Elaine passed away peacefully at the age of 86, with 3 of her daughters by her side. Elaine is survived by her 6 children Diane (Rick) Stark of Clavet, SK, Lynn Matalski of Drayton Valley, AB, Blaine Gustafson (Peggy Cartier) of Breton, AB, Cindy (Elmer) Dmyterko of Regina, SK, Donald (Donna) Gustafson of Warman, SK and Tammy (Brian) Belanger of Buck Lake, AB; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Edna Paysen; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Edgar; parents Olaf and Karin Lisell; brothers Karl (Helena), Oscar (Fern), Emil and Minard (Nora); grandsons Spencer Gustafson and Chad Olson; and son-in-law Terry Matalski. Elaine was born on the family farm near Gilroy, SK. Mom enjoyed sewing and cake decorating as well as her and Dad had a wonderful passion for dancing. They were active members of the United Church in Riverhurst and Foam Lake. Family and friends were very important to Mom and Dad and travelled many miles, attending their functions. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Chapel at Sherbrooke Community Centre (401 Acadia Dr.) in Saskatoon.
