Tena Karolat

1929 – 2017

Tena passed away in her own residence on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the age of 88 years. She will be dearly missed by her sons Garry (Lorna), and Ernie; daughters Dolores (Dan) Parks and Linda (Gary) Germsheid; and grandchildren Bryan, Joanne, Chelsie, Ainsley, Jazmine, Starleigh, Lisa, Jason, Christina and Amanda. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings Sarah Seemann, Peter Dyck and Jake Dyck; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Tena was predeceased by her husband Vern; son Allan; parents Peter and Elizabeth; sisters Betty Readman and Mary Bartsch; and brother Henry. Tena was born near Allan, SK and grew up in the Garthland area before meeting Vern in Saskatoon and moving to various communities with his work. She relocated to Saskatoon following his passing and continued to raise her five children on her own, proving her strength. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. A Celebration of Tena’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St.) in Saskatoon.
