Theodore ""Ted"" Nat Brossart

September 3, 1929 - July 9, 2015

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Theodore Nat Brossart on Thursday, July 9, 2015. Left to mourn are his beloved wife Anita (Kary); sons Ron, Ernie (Brenda) Brossart; daughters-in-law Nadia and Patricia Brossart; grandchildren Ryan, Travis (Kaley), Stacey, Steven, Celine (Dillan), Marc, Jordan (Nadine) and Luke. Theodore is also survived by his brother Henry; sister Anna Marie Welder (Walter); brother-in-law Tony Schnurr; Bev and Marlene Thompson, Gene and June Kary, Ed and Rose Kary; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Theodore was predeceased by his sons John and Robert; his parents John and Rose Brossart; Arnold and Carol Brossart, Leona Lockert, Wendel Lockert, Jack Schaaf, Magdalena Schnurr, Mike Welder, Betty Brossart and Marlene and Andrew Dengler. Theodore was born on the family farm at Allan Saskatchewan. His father passed away at the age of forty years. He then took over the farm at the age of sixteen. He married Anita Kary October 20, 1955. To make ends meet on the farm he always had a second job; agent for the P&H elevator, school bus driver, custom bailing, worked for the town of Allan and the Allan Potash Mine. He managed all these things with the help of his four boys. In 2003, Theodore and Anita made the decision to move from Allan to Saskatoon. Theodore continued to be actively involved with the family farm. Theodore remained close to his rural roots and made many road trips back to Allan while residing in Saskatoon. He and Anita also formed many new friendships in Saskatoon. Theodore moved to Sunnyside Nursing Home in April 2015. The family is appreciative of the wonderful care he received from the staff during his short stay. The Vigil for Theodore will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 8:00 pm and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2015; both services will be held at St Anne's Parish (217 Lenore Drive, Saskatoon).
