December 26, 1928 - June 5, 2015
It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa Wong announce her passing at Oliver Lodge, at the age of 86. She was the spark in our family that warmed all of our lives. Theresa was born in Batoche, SK to Eugene and Julienne Letendre. The Letendre family was very large and she helped out around the homestead until she was 16 years old. She then ventured out on her own to pursue her hopes and dreams. She was already a proud mother of three when she met the love of her life, Cyril Wong in Moose Jaw, SK. they moved to Saskatoon and were married in 1965. Together with Cyril, they built a strong family foundation, a warm loving home and a very successful business (Cyril's Steak Inn). Terri worked hard to take care of her family and all of her extended family members (Cyril's customers). Terri and Cyril spent their entire lives making people feel comfortable and happy. In her free time Terri loved to cook, bake, sew and travel. She really enjoyed spending time at the cabin at Emma Lake with family and friends. Spending time traveling the USA and going to family reunions were also very special to her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Debbie Wright, Carol Kruger (Greg) and Brenda Janzen (Warren); grandchildren Jeffrey Janzen (Tina), Michael Janzen (Bee), Kalen Wright, Murray Kruger (Natalie), Tara Evjen (Kyle) and Tanya Kruger (Khounthavy); great-grandchildren Mason, Nham and Kingston Janzen, Silas Kruger; her siblings Argie, Cecile, Don, Leo, Maurice, Clifford, Andrew, Diane; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Cyril; son-in-law Gary Wright; and her siblings Maxim, Maurice, Harry, Alice, Odias, Charlie, Clarice and Lorraine. A Celebration of Terri's Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th at Hillcrest Funeral Home (East on 8th Street, first right past Briargate Road). The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at Oliver Lodge for their compassionate care of both mom and dad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (1705 McKercher Dr, Saskatoon, SK S7H 5N6).
