Mr. Thomas Dominic Barry

It is with deep sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of Thomas Dominic Barry. Tom passed away on August 30, 2010 after a short courageous battle with cancer at the age of 54. Tom is dearly loved and remembered by his wife Debbie and their two children Jason and Ashley. Tom was born on October 10, 1955 in Jean de Baie, Nfld. He was one of 14 children of Rita and Richard Barry and will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters Francis, John, Lil, Hubert, Al, Doreen, Theresa, Marie, Keith, Carol, Sue, Brenda, Barb and Bridget and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom was predeceased by his parents Rita and Richard Barry and a nephew J.B. Barry. Tom was involved in many activities including family camping trips, fishing, golfing, ball, and bowling. Tom loved to dance and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an avid cook and enjoyed doing this for family and friends. Tom donated many volunteer hours to various community events and was a proud member of the Nfld. and Culture Club for many years. Tom you have touched everyone’s life with your special sense of humor, your laughter, and your love.

The Vigil of Prayer will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. both Services will be held at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive, 955-1600).
