Thomas "Tom" Mahar went to his heavenly home on October 18, 2022. He will be deeply missed by his children; Jeff (Rachelle) Mahar and Amy (Conrad) Glass, his grandchildren; Sarah Mahar, Caleb (Kelsey) Glass, Luke Glass, Hannah Glass, his special friend; Darlene Budzinski, his brother; Wayne (Judy) Mahar, cherished relatives and dear friends. He was predeceased by his wife Gwen, his granddaughter Emma, his parents Tom and Violet Mahar. He was born on August 4,1945 and grew up in Humboldt and later Regina. He co-founded the Majestic Car Club in Regina when he was 16. He married his high school sweetheart in 1967. He was a hardworking successful businessman working in medical sales. Tom was active in church as a worship leader, elder and gave his time to several other organizations over the years. In his retirement he was known as “Papa” and spent many hours caring for his 5 grandchildren and cheering them on in all their endeavors. He enjoyed time at the family cottage and trips to Hawaii. He loved classic cars, the Riders and music. He was a kind and gentle spirited man who was so generous and loving and always put others needs ahead of his own. A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at Circle Drive Alliance Church (3035 Preston Ave S, Saskatoon). Burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan (2550 12 Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1).
