It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vesna at 6:00 a.m. on December 21, 2014 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. Vesna was born in Karlovac, Croatia, November 26, 1955. She lived and worked in Karlovac and then spent a few years working in Germany before moving to Canada, settling in Saskatoon in 1993. Vesna was a pastry chef by profession. She loved baking, cooking, and gardening. Vesna will be remembered by her mother Milka Blagec; husband Ivan Maradin; brother Damir Blagec; sister-in-law Vesna Blagec; nieces Maja Vidakovic, Sanda Blagec; nephews Sasa Blagec, Bozo Vidakovic, Franjo Dolenec; grand nephew Vito Vidakovic; aunts Bernice Blagec, and Lucija & Angelina in Croatia. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27 at Our Lady of Czestochowa (301 Avenue Y South) with Rev. Father Andrew Wychucki.
