Ms. Vicki McLean

Vicki was the eldest of seven children, born on May 8, 1950 in Flin Flon, MB to William and Phyllis (nee Dion) Hadubiak. She and her six siblings were born and raised in Flin Flon until they move to Amsterdam SK, 19 KM north of Canora, SK on their family farm.

After moving to Saskatoon, SK, she would meet, fall in love, and marry her husband Donald James McLean. They would go on to have two daughters: Lisa McLean, born June 17, 1979, and Pamela (nee McLean) Todd, born September 20, 1984. Vicki primarily raised their two daughters on her own after her divorce.

Vicki had many friends in her life. One of her closest friends was her childhood best friend of 60 years - Linda Zado, who was always by her side when she needed her. Vicki had a passion for helping others. From running a support group for abused women to volunteering to teach young mothers how to cook and meal plan on a budget, to assisting teachers/students at her daughter’s school, she was always willing to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed playing cards with her many friends, and spending quality time with her family. Her favorite past time later on in life was watching her granddaughter’s grow to be beautiful young ladies, whom she was so very proud of and enjoying a good book or working on a crossword puzzle.

Vicki is survived by daughters Lisa McLean (Joe) of Saskatoon, Pamela (Chris) Todd of Calgary, along with granddaughters Natasha Noble, Harley Jeffries, and Bailey and Ashlyn Todd. She leaves behind her six siblings: Rick (Susan) Hadubiak of Regina, SK, Beverly (Wayne) McMullan of Sundre, AB, Ines (Denis) Sanche of Saskatoon, SK, Ken Hadubiak of Edmonton, AB, Doug (Connie) Hadubiak of Melville, SK, and Dennis (Lori) of Calgary, AB. Vicki is predeceased by her parents William and Phyllis Hadubiak, along with her ex-husband Donald James McLean.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 24, 2025 at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street, Saskatoon, SK. Following the service, please join her family and friends to share memories of Vicki in the lower level.
