October 23, 1932 – March 2, 2013
Ralph, age 80, passed away after many health challenges – on March 2nd. Ralph is survived by his wife of 59 years, Agnes: sons, Gavin (Pam), Kerry (Sheila), and Kirby (Arliss). Daughters, Lynne (Joe), and Lorrie (Don). Grandchildren, David and Carla; Trevor and Amanda; Jennifer, Chris and Ali; and Cora and Amy. Also great grandchildren, Kody, Nik, Kaiden and Deon. On settling in Saskatoon, Ralph was employed with A.A Myers Excavating, then in later years with Globe Excavating. Ralph’s most enjoyment came from his hockey coaching years, where many friendships were made and still exist. Ralph was one of 14 children three of which still survive – Kay in Moose Jaw, Dot in Victoria and Ken in Yorkton. His family grew up on a farm at Cabri, SK, where Ralph began his love of the farm and horses. Ralph acquired his two horses, Tess and Dial and took up his horsemanship again. His great enjoyment was family trail rides and get togethers with all the family members. Dining out with Agnes and family were important to him, as well as sightseeing and gardening. As Dad, he was a stable influence and was always there to listen, advice and help out his family. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. There will be a missing presence at our family gatherings. At Ralph’s request there will be no funeral. A private memorial will take place at a later date. Cremation. Condolences to the family may be sent from www.acadiamckaguesfuneralcentre.com. Arrangements in care of Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre 955-1600.
