William "Bill" Busche

August 31, 1971 - January 14, 2017

There are no words to express our sadness at the loss of Bill Busche, age 45, who passed away at St. Paul’s Hospital after a four-year battle with cancer. Bill was surrounded by his loving wife Lonnie, parents Keith and Kay and his Aunt Lola. His passing is also mourned by his step-children Rhys and Megan, sister Lisa, nephew Connor, mother-in-law Helen, sister-in-law Kelly and husband Len and their family, and brother-in-law Doug and wife Cheryl and their family, as well as aunts, uncles and many cousins in Canada and Spain. The family would also like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all who cared for Bill during his illness and the many words of love and support from all. Bill will be fondly remembered for his musical talents and his love of sports, especially golfing, fishing, curling, and football. Many messages sent from around the globe have spoken of his bright smile and great sense of humour which shows how Bill’s life adventures in Up With People and the Royal Canadian Navy touched so many lives and made many happy, cherished memories. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the HMCS Unicorn (405-24th St. E.) in Saskatoon.  Bill will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at a later date.
