Mr. Ye-cheng Li was born on November 17th, 1924 in the village of Bei-le, District of Cheng Xi of Tai Cheng township, Taishan County, Guangdong Province of China. He passed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on August 19th, 2022. Left to cherish his love and memory are his daughters, Hong-Mian (Gui-Rong), Hong-Yi, Hong-Ling (Tim), and Ruby (Ken); grandchildren Thomas (Kolly), Livia, Beryl (Quy), and Garson (Jessica); and great-grandchildren Fiona, Lexington, and Sophie.
Ye-cheng worked at the Education Bureau for the County of Taishan and contributed greatly to the provincial recruitment process for student entering post-secondary education in Guangdong Province. After he moved to Saskatchewan, he dedicated his time and energy caring for his grandchildren, and assisting in the restaurant business of her daughter Ruby’s family in Outlook from 1993 to 2010.
Along with his late wife, Ye-cheng was a long-time Christian. Those who know him would remember the blessing of a life that was born out of the love of God. His virtues of kindness, diligence, and selflessness inspired his grandchildren to serve in various areas of hospitality, healthcare, business and public administration.
