SPARLING, Arthur Henry Thomas – Peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, with his family by his side on Saturday, March 2, 2013 in his 68th year. Beloved son of the late Irvin (George) and Elsie Sparling of Temiscaming, Quebec. Lifelong husband and friend of Gisele. Loving father of Cindy Sparling and Sean Sparling (Diana). Proud grandpa of Zachary, Elizabeth, Michael, Natalie, Tatum, Thomas, Matthew and Jacob. Dear brother of Barb (Ray), Mary (late Allen), Madeline (Marcel), Maggie (Fred), George (Connie), Bucky, Molly (Dave) and predeceased by Diana and Christine (Denis). Art will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his hunting and fishing buddy Ray Gagnon and his buddies from the beach Neil Robertson and the late Bob Avery. Dad worked at A&P in North Bay, Kapaskasing and Sault Ste. Marie for 41 years. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11 am. Rev. Nancy Ferguson officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the SAH Renal Dialysis Care Fund or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
