Loving husband of Phyllis. Cherished father of Carly (Jeremy), Katelyn (Dave) and Eric (Nilah). Beloved grandfather of Aubrey and Thaddeus. Brother of Gary (Jeannine). Uncle of Neriah Daniel (Michele). Predeceased by his parents Rod and Linda. Favourite human to two cats, Niko and Sushi. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family.
Byron lived and breathed his work as an engineer. You could always count that his math skills were spot-on and could solve any problem.
Even when not at work, he found a sense of pride in working around the house or helping his children with theirs. He wasn’t one to sit still, but when he did slow down he was often at the beach or with Phyllis in the garden.
Affectionately “buffet Byron”, he loved variety, not only on his plate but also with electronics, effectively leaving Phyllis desperately confused as to which remote turns on the TV.
He loved a good argument and never passed up the opportunity to tease. He was a devoted “Papa” who loved to get down on the floor and play with his grandchildren. His memory is cherished.
Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Sault Area Hospital Emergency Department for their care and compassion.
