TAYLOR, Charlotte E. Peacefully, at the Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, on April 23, 2015. Charlotte was born in 1919 near Carberry, Manitoba on the Dennstedt farm, the first farm established on the Brown Road, in Fairview District. Loving wife for 66 years to the late Frederick Taylor, devoted mother to David Taylor (Helene) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Marguerite LaHaye (Andrew) of Prince Township. Grandmother of three, great-grandmother of six. Survived by her sister Letha McKee of Edmonton, predeceased by her parents Chester and Margaret Dennstedt, sister Mary Howell, brothers William Dennstedt and John Dennstedt. Charlotte met Fred, a flight lieutenant in the Royal Air Force, in Carberry during World War II, and he became her war groom. The newlyweds moved to Britain, Fred being with the RAF, but returned to Canada in 1948. They settled in Northern Ontario, first in Dryden, then in Manitouwadge, before moving south to Stratford, where they eventually retired. Charlotte kept active in church auxiliaries and choirs in all three communities. She and Fred also camped coast to coast with the children and, in later years, with the grandchildren. Charlotte was a wonderful, kind, and caring mother, grandmother, and friend, who never permitted her declining health to blunt her compassion for others. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. (Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 705-759-2522). Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com
