DAIGLE, Ian Donald Conrad – It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, and best friend. Ian passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the age of 55.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Debbie “Babe” of 24 years. He is now reunited with his cherished son Cameron “Bear”. Predeceased by his father Donald “Don” Daigle and Mother Judy Daigle. Dear brother of Ron (Melissa). He leaves behind a grieving best friend Ken Brock (Christine). His best buddy Robbie Bobbie will miss him dearly. Ian is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His presence within the entire Sawyer family will be deeply missed.
Ian was an amazing husband, father and friend to all who knew him. He took great pride in all his work whether it be personally or professionally. Ian was a proud and dedicated employee of Algoma Steel for many years.
Those who knew Ian knew how meticulous he kept his garage, yard and home. If he wasn’t out riding his side by side with Debbie, he would be out fishing or keeping busy around his yard. He would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His smile and infectious laugh will be fondly remembered.
He was an avid and insane Boston Bruins fan. He lived and breathed for hockey season and enjoyed watching the games at home with his loving BOSTON Terrier, family and friends.
Family and friends are invited for a Celebration of Life at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Saturday, August 23, 2025, between 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Canadian Mental Health Association or the Sault Ste Marie Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be made at www.arthurfuneralhome.com
We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile
That won’t be long you will see
Till we’re together you and me.
To all of those that think of me
be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell ‘em
I’ve gone fishin’
