Fern Marie Sandvik

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with family by her side on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the age of 90.

Reunited with her beloved husband Einar "Sam" Sandvik. Adored mother of Wayne (Gina), Gregory "Sammy" (Claudia), Deanna Twentyman (Keven) and Larry (Crystal).

Cherished Grandma Fern to Taylor Twentyman (Julie), Morgan Oliver (Darcy), Robert Sandvik, Julia Sandvik (Joshua), Courtney Ryckman (Ben) and Miranda Sandvik (Kevan). Loving Great-Grandma to Owen and Dean Oliver, Emilie and Sophie Twentyman.

Daughter of the late Mary and Clement McFarling. Sister of the late Jennine MacLeod (late John), late Donald McFarling (late Elaine) and precious sister to Elizabeth Kerns (late Harold). Fern was predeceased by a number of in-laws including Gunnar Sandvik (Katie), Ruth Dupuis (Jos), Eric Sandvik (Joyce), Carl Sandvik and Jim Sandvik (Margaret). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Mom was a valued member of Zion Lutheran Church and affectionately known as "Grandma Fern" to so many.

The family would like to thank EMS, the doctors and nurses at Sault Area Hospital especially Dr. Fera.

Wayne, Greg and Larry would like to thank Deanna for her daily dedication to Mom, as she was also Mom's closest companion and best friend.

Friends may visit Zion Lutheran Church on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 12:00 pm until time of memorial service at 2:00 pm. Rev. Brad Mittleholtz officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
