The Cavanagh name was such an integral part of growing up in Thessalon - from regularly seeing your grandfather and father in the pharmacy (with its soda fountain) to living two doors away from you along the river. Although our families have had limited contact in the years since,   I have fond memories of your mother who, along with our mother, was a part of that special group of ladies who were so involved in the town.  Even as you celebrate her amazing 93 years, losing your mother is, as we know, especially difficult. Gary joins me in sending our heartfelt sympathy, Penny (Cork) Gardiner.

I remember the Cavanaugh pharmacy from growing up in the Thessalon area.  Linda & I extend our deepest condolences to the Cavanaugh family especially Jim who I remember from High school, and Jon who  has been a great support in financial matters . I also worked with Ann's husband John for many years at Algoma Steel.

Growing up on Genelle Street I have so many wonderful memories of Florence as a Mother of her large family.  I was always amazed as a child how she gained the respect of so many as she managed daily routines and the quantity of food she had to prepare for so many. I sat at the lunch table in awe many times and always felt welcome. As a young adult I would paddle over to her cottage on Basswood from ours in the next bay and have coffee with her in the morning. She taught me some important life lessons I will never forget. I really enjoyed her warm smile and our time together sharing. She had a way of welcoming others and making you feel special. An icon in my life over the years.  I am cherishing our memories made together. 💖

Coldolences to all the family, she will be greatly missed, she was such a dear lady, was a loyal customer to me for years, we shared so many great laughs, memories I will always treasure.
