ROUTLEDGE, Fred McDonald (April 14, 1942 – September 20, 2010) – After a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 68, passed away at home on Monday, September 20, 2010. Beloved husband and best friend of Donna (Bennett) for 38 years. Loving father of Rita, Harold (Lori), Jason (Sheena), Jimmy (Jamie) and Lisa (George). Cherished Papa of Michelle (Sheldon), Freddie, Angela (Joe), Brandon, Jamie, Sammy, Tyler, Noah and Nathan. Great Papa of Autumn, Conrad, Kara and Kaydence. Son of the late Harold and Catherine Routledge. Brother of Ann Sterns (late Glen). Fred will be greatly missed by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. At Fred’s request there will be no funeral service. There will be a celebration of life at the Echo Bay Elk’s (96 Church St.) on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 2-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Echo Bay Elks or to the Canadian F.O.P Association in support of his dear great niece Brookie would be appreciated by Fred and his family.
