

Gabriella leaves behind her children, Antonella (Mark), Roberto (Vanessa) and Francesco (Eva) who will forever remember her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She had a special spot in her heart for her grandson “big boy Jack”. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the stories she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband Remo. Predeceased by her cherished daughter Sabrina, and her parents Luigi and Marianna Aceto, all of whom she held close in her heart throughout her life.
Preceded by her mother and father-in-law, Caterina and Ernesto Di Berardino, and her brothers-in-law, the late Tony (late Emma), late Mike (Luisa), late Enzo (late Cathy), late Marsilio. Sister-in-law to Rita Di Paolo (late Vittorio), Silvana Giordano (Carlo) and Maria Pia De Caro (Filiberto) of Italy. Deeply loved by the many nieces and nephews.
Born in Chieti Italy, she later made her home in Sault Ste Marie, Canada with her family, where she built a life rooted in devotion, resilience, and deep affection for those she held close. Her journey from her birthplace to her new home reflected her courage and her unwavering commitment to creating a better life for her family.
A generous and remarkably strong woman, Gabriella was known for her tireless work ethic, commitment and integrity. She worked in the hospital’s dietary services for many years, a role she took great pride in, and one that she spoke about throughout her retirement. She made good friends there.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 between 11:00 am - 12:30 pm. Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest with her husband. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Extendicare Van Daele Manor and the nursing staff in Emerg, 3C and 3B at Sault Area Hospital. Their compassion and care helped keep her comfortable in her final days, and their kindness will never be forgotten.
