Gérard Fortin

FORTIN, Gérard Sylvestre- Peacefully passed away at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) with family by his side at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Claudette for 50 years. Loving father of Diane Collings (Clarence), Solange Langelier (Ghislain), Marcel, Robert (Denise), Lisa Schuurman (Michael), and Jackie Royal (Richard). Cherished grandfather of Baisel and Jordan Collings, Julien, Patrice and Josie-Ann Langelier, Cassidy and Brianna Fortin, Shane and Mathew Schuurman, and Cole and Faye Royal. Dear brother of Joseph (late Jeanne), and Florida Tousignan (late Rosaire). Predeceased by brothers Hector (late Aldora), Roger (late Réjeanne), Raymond (late Madame Gaudette), Patrick (late Thérèse), and sister Marie Leboeuf (late Florian). Gérard is also remembered by his nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Jean-Pierre Couillard officiating. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
