Wishing you were here so much- because this was our second Christmas without you here and everyday is just not the same; our what was forever annual visit all together at Grandma's didn't happen again. Just as times change, and we know that people can; some things have gotten worse and some better.
I will always remember the last hug and the conversation we had days before along with  how you looked at me in the eyes.  If I could turn back time I would have never let you go. I felt the world stop when my brother told me you would not be coming home.
How I wish I was only dreaming. Like rain; tears fell from my eyes, I couldn't speak, I was confused and didn't understand. And yet today some days are so much the same.
This is still unreal for me not having you here to talk to late at night on the phone or very early in the morning; I Thank you for and miss your understanding, caring, listening and loving me. But, I know that you now watch over all of us. I visit, but it is silent and they say silence is golden. 
I had a dream the other morning of an angel receiving their wings, and woke very early to bells ringing. 
Holidays just feel like another day now.

DAD missing you more and more everyday, trying to live every day  knowing your not here anymore, miss you daddy, things are not the same,i know you knew you wer e sick, but like always don't worry about me, as you would always say, or don worry about it, or it don't matter, it really hurts knowing your gone and wont see you go by no more or see you havin coffee or just to come over and sit w/ you, can you kiss and hug grams for me? I know when I go see you now its like your there listening I talked last time for like an hr, like  was letting it all out, and I was so long since I visited you so I had lots to say, so DAD rest and relax and watch over all of us ok/ I know your there, theres been times when I thought coraee had touch my back and here she was in the living room watching tv, I seems to happen when I think and talk about you a lot, like last night I cried so much yest didn't sleep just sat and thought about the whole day and like I was reliving it lookin at the clock, well dad just gotta look up and keep praying to u and GOD and askin yous to watch over us all ok and kiss and hug Cheryl for me we miss her sooo much too. love you daddy, oxoox

Daddy, well it has been one rough year , without you and times are hard. Each day we face seems longer, but we get through day by day knowing the strength that you give us in remembering who we are and how strong our love really is as a family. 
I sit often at your side and tell you how we are, whats going on and talk about how much everything has changed good and bad; how much the kids are all growing up so fast.
This is not easy, we still need you and we all miss you so much.
Time seems like it is going so fast and then it is like yesterday our whole world changes forever.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. My heart hurts and my eyes fill with tears often, it's hard knowing I can't hug you or see you again. Tomorrow marks one year and we r trying to adjust, but whoever said it gets easier was mistaken... one anniversary, 15 birthdays and the holidays have passed and with that every day we miss you so much more. In person you're words, smile and hugs are not here; but you're wisdom and strength are in us. Everyday we are growing, everyday we keep smiling to hide our tears. The winter has been so long with lots of snow and cold, but that has not kept us away. You always asked me if I was up or down, as much as I might feel down Daddy , my head is up. My deepest condolences to you all.  I worked for Gordie and Sue in Agawa when I was a teen.  He was a great boss, very generous, kindhearted and fun loving.  He used to tease me to see me blush all the time, I hated it but it would make him laugh.  May you all find comfort at this difficult time in your lives and remember all the good things.

Our thought and prayers go out to the family. Many years have come and gone. I enjoyed working for you when we worked at Agawa. There are many stories to tell all of them good. You are a very special person to each and every one who has known you. You have a heart of gold. Enjoyed the times when we would be driving down the logging roads and we would stop and talk. You will be missed.

To the Chapman family

Gordie was like a second father to me. I remember being young and him always being around. I remember when he would come over in the evening to visit my parents he would always bring me a pizza. Haha, he knew what I liked. I remember having loose teeth and showing him, only for him to put his finger in my mouth to pop it out. He was definitely the master of "popping" teeth out. Lori and myself were always attached at each others hip. We might of not been born sisters but she is definitely my sister. I can remember being up at their place and I had just got my eyebrow pierced and Gordie came home and he looked at me and said in his calm, cool, voice, "why would you do that to your face?" Hahaha besides my own father, he was the only other man that could make me feel so sad with just his simple words. He didn't yell but with just his look and calm voice I knew he was disappointed in me. Oh boy!! He would come up to the house and put me to work with moving culverts and wood or whatever he needed done.

He was and still is an amazing man. He has an amazing family and he will be deeply missed.

Gordie, Thank you for always being there, you were my second Dad. Thank you for the lessons you've taught me. Batchawana is going to be a little bit empty now that you're gone.

I am extremely sorry to hear this tragic news about Gord. To all his immediate family and children, and especially for Michael, I want to say that your dad was always a fine man to me whenever I had business dealings with him. When I  was fortunate to cross trails with him on some bush road, he was aIways generous with his helpful advice. I know he will be sorely missed all throughout the Batchawana  country.

When I was little, I thought you were the best father anyone could ever wish for, I thought you taught me more than anyone else could even the teachers, I thought you understood me when no one else would, I thought you loved me better than any father ever loved his children. I didn't know what I'd ever do without you, because I loved you so much.. Now that I'm not so little anymore, I just wanted you to know , which I am sure you did, that some things never change - I have watched over the years now how my sisters and brothers feel and my children feel about there grandpa - The traditions we have learned and do as a family and I still think and always will think you're the best father and grandfather any person could ever have. I will never ever forget riding with you in the log trucks hauling no matter the season listening to Red Sovine "Daddy's Girl"  and Daddy- right now I would trade those moments for everything - but I know we had them and things can't change, but people can I will always love you very, very much and Daddy you always were the center of my world.
