OBITUARY

Ingrid Renate Trudel

June 4, 1959February 18, 2021

TRUDEL, Ingrid Renate - It is with a saddened heart that I announce the passing of my beloved wife and best friend. Despite a courageous and lengthy battle, the Lord took her home from the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the age of 61 with myself (Brian) by her side.

Predeceased by her parents Simon and Maria Christ, and her brother Simon. Ingrid will be sadly missed by her mother-in-law Rhona (late Patrick). Sister-in-law of Neil (Anne) and aunt of Rebekah.

Ingrid will be deeply missed by her best friends Lynn Fields, Kay Douglas and Tracey Wards, as well as Elijah Fera whom Ingrid was both a Mentor and a friend. She will be missed by many others, as she made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed being happily retired, driving around in her little roadster with the top down as well as basking in the sun while she glamped (camped) at her trailer.

A special Thank-you to Dr. Fera, Dr Gu, Dr. Bignall, and Dr Shafiee as well as the nurses in 3C at the SAH for all their help and support.

At her request a private service has been held. A graveside service will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Humane Society, Liver Foundation or Gideons International Canada would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522).

Ingrid, I love you with all my heart. We almost made it to 10 years, and we had fun together getting there. Watching Hallmark movies will not be the same without you! Brian

So sorry to hear of the loss of Ingrid.

I bumped into her a couple of years ago and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed her company.

Ingrid was a wonderful hostess and one always had a good time at her house.

Ingrid was especially kind and loving to my three children, and I and they have not forgotten this although it was a long time ago.

With sympathy for your loss.

It is with heavy hearts that we offer our condolences on Ingrid's passing. She was a warm and loving lady. If you were fortunate enough to become her friend, you were a friend forever. We knew Ingrid socially and from working together at Windsor City Hall. One of our fondest memories is attending a Conference together in 1995. Such a great time: buying cowboy boots and hats; attending a Conference hosted Rodeo; and a Western-themed evening, But the highlight for Ingrid was going backstage to meet Burton Cummings and sharing an after-dinner cocktail with him. Rest in peace dear friend. In the words of a Guess Who song, you were truly an "American Woman". John & Connie Poulson, Windsor, ON

I'm saddened to hear of Ingrid's passing. She was a colleague and friend. Gone much too soon. She should've had many more years with you, Brian.

My heartfelt condolences to you. May she rest in peace.

Someone posted on the Vincent Massey ( Windsor) FB group about Ingrid's passing. Condolences to her family. Lost touch after high school but remember her fondly....a fun loving and kind person. Gone too soon. 😪

My deepest condolences to Ingrid's family. I had the pleasure of working closely with Ingrid in a few different departments at the City of Windsor. She always worked hard and was eager to help but what I remember most is the joking around, the laughs we had. I recall when we were together in MIS (the Tech Area) we shared a very small cubicle, and desk area. We literally were bumping elbows! But it was all good. I was glad we were able to re-connect via Facebook, but having known Ingrid "in person" is the best. Sending light and love your way.
