Beloved husband and best friend of Sandra (née Russ) for 60 years, Jim was the devoted father of Karen Cormier (Jeff), Janice Gibson (late Devon), and Joanne Nanne (Paul). He was the proud and loving grandfather of Lauren and Jenna Nanne, Adam and Leah Gibson, and Chloe and Christopher Cormier.
Jim will be fondly remembered by his brother Tom (Joyce), and by his nieces and nephew Scott Bowman (Susan), Jennifer Elgie (Kevin), and Debbie Falconer (Tim). He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Margery Bowman, his in-laws Kyle and Dorothy Russ, and sister-in-law Sharon Figures.
A man of unwavering love and dedication, Jim always put his family first. He will be dearly missed for his kindness, sense of humor, and steadfast support. Jim found great joy in traveling, playing cards, and cheering for his lifelong teams—the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, and Lions.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of the Goulais Bay wing at Maple View Nursing Home and to Drs. M. Culina, N. Haider, A. Aziz, and P. Apostle for their dedicated care over the years.
