BACKER, Jean-Marc (Mac) – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in his 74th year. Loving husband of Aime. Dear father of Monica Bellerose (Todd), Todd (Rondi) of Dryden and Mark (Kelly) of Toronto. Cherished Pepere of Brooke and Rylan. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Rose-Hilda. Brother of Jean Janveau (Don) of Calgary and Isabel Lachance (Sonny) of Ottawa. Brother-in-law of the late Liine Kaert (late Arno), late Bernie Truumees, Arvid Truumees (Imbi) of New Jersey, Silvi Leach (Bob) of Mississauga and Helgi McElroy (Phil) of London. Mac will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He loved his grandchildren. Pepere was Brooke’s biggest fan, missing very few of her games. He loved golfing and curling with his friends. He was always a winner. Mac’s pleasant, easy going personality will be missed by many and remembered by all. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2 pm. The family would like to thank Dr. Beduhn, Dr. Amhalhal, Dr. Ghosh, Dr. O’Brien and nurses Erica and Shannon.
