It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Jean at the age of 84.
She was daughter to the late George and Elizabeth Rowe. Loving wife of Dale for 22 years. Predeceased by her late husband Ken Errington. Proud mother of Lauri Borup (Morten), Heather Errington, Leanne Schoales (Dale), Michael Porter (Ursula), Errett Porter (Judy), Robert Porter (Barb) and the late Terry Coventry (Curtis). Fun-loving grandma to Johnny, Patrick, Oliver, Jessica, Sara (Owen), Emily, Ashleigh (Kevin), Ila (Eric), Ben (Ali), Katy (Nate), Kimberly (Jamie), Kiley (Cory), Kelsey, Jamie (Blair), Dan (Laura), Katelyn (Matthew) and Mitchell (Brianna). “Mimi” to Evelyn, Tate, Emma, Caleb, Michael, Hailey, Jay, Aiden, Damien, Kian, Caylee, Aubree, Noah, Charlie, Avery, Isaac and Maggie. Dear sister of the late Jan (late Don) and the late Moe (Val). Special sister-in-law to Marleen and the late Marilyn (late Ray). Long-time friend that became family of Fran Manson (late Bob). Cherished Aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Jean will be fondly remembered for her warm caring nature, always reminding us that love multiplies and not divides. She was proud to be an educator and made an impact on many young minds while also learning from her later role working with special needs children. Jean volunteered for many charitable, school and church groups. She loved the outdoors, especially camping and boating. She loved travelling, especially her winters in Florida. Jean maintained her sense of humor, wit and strength until her final days.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Echo Bay unit at Extendicare Mapleview for the dignity and respect they showed to Jean.
