Joel Charles Thayer

Joel was born on February 6, 1952 and was the son of the late Cy and Doris Thayer. He spent his life building strong relationships through both family and work. He was a long-time partner in Thayer Lumber, where he brought a strong work ethic and a keen knowledge of the industry that helped the company thrive. Joel took pride in his work and was well known by customers as a helpful, dependable, and knowledgeable person who was always willing to lend a hand.

Joel will be fondly remembered by his siblings: Michael (Vancouver), Penny (Vance) Logan (Dartmouth), Tim (Susan), and Debbie (Bud Parker) (Toronto). He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews, friends, and the many customers and colleagues whose lives he touched.

The family would like to extend a special thank you Dr. Mclean for all his help. Donations in Joel's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East; 705-759-2522). In keeping with Joel's wishes, there will be no funeral or formal services. Internment will take place at Pinegrove Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
