

SPADONI, John Carlo - April 15, 1956 - August 24, 2025. It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John at Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, August 24, 2025 as the result of a sudden brain hemorrhage.
For 43 years he was the loving husband and best friend of Carol (nee McDowell). He will be forever loved and missed by his furry companion, Paxton. John is now reunited with his parents, Leveo and Barbara Spadoni. He is survived by his brothers, Robert, Ron (Teresa) and Dave (Kathleen). John was the son-in-law of the late Harvey and Ferne McDowell and brother-In-law of John McDowell (Norma), Don McDowell (Liz), Judy Gibb (John), Janice Robinson (Larry) and the late David. He was the cool and loving Uncle to Allison, Mark, Shannon, Craig (Lisa), Jill (Andrew), Brad (Krista), Brent (Tracy), Sherri (Stu), Ryan (Sarah), Steve (Christine) and Andy. He was the Great Uncle of Jane, Dylan, Maggie, Charlotte, Abbie, Audrey, Alexis, Jack, Keaton, Kassidy (Brett), Koby, Roy, Reece, Rex, Seth and Skylar.
John graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1979 where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Following graduation he became a Chartered Accountant and enjoyed a long career with KPMG.
John had many passions during his lifetime. He loved his Detroit Lions and Tigers, he played trombone with Algoma Brass and he never missed an opportunity to be on the golf course.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the ICU Doctors and Nurses at both Health Sciences North in Sudbury and Sault Area Hospital. Additionally we would like to thank Dr. Blair Jarrett and all of the Doctors and staff at the Algoma District Cancer Centre. A special thank you to Dr. Anis Aziz for his compassion, care and guidance shown to John over the past years.
As per John's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522) on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm for a time of visitation. Service to be held at 1:00 pm. Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Friends are also invited to view the service online starting at 12:55 pm and can be viewed anytime up to 90 days, go to www.funeraweb.tv and select John's name. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation can be made in his honour (by cheque or online).
