Notwithstanding a recent furnace installation at my son's home nearby John and Laurette's, many people in the Sault and area are now warm and comfortable thanks to John's many many years of experience in the home heating industry.
John wasn't always business even though he spent many hours inside his shop surrounded by his tools and equipment. He certainly had a warm and infectious smile and loved to share his many stories which could make anybody laugh and smile along with him.
My son and I especially enjoyed how would punctuate many of his sentences with the term, " ... and this and that ". A visit to his home was most often greeted by John's standard "Would you like a cold beer ?" He was truly a unique one of a kind character that seldom if ever used a discouraging word about anybody.

My sincere condolences to Laurette and her family in this very difficult time.
