

WILLIS, Lloyd Kenneth (February 17, 1928 - March 13, 2014) – Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, March 13, 2014 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Wilson). Cherished father of Lorna Willis. Predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Mabel Willis (nee Cruickshank), brothers William (late Viola), Gilbert (late Winnie, late Anne), George (late Fern, late Sadie), Charles and his sister Pauline (late Dick Bell). Survived by his sister-in-law Verna McGregor (Bob), brother-in-law Harvey Wilson (Carol), cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brothers-in-law Wesley Wilson (late Doris) and Ernest Wilson (late Marion) and his sister-in-law Lila Dukes (late Harry). Lloyd was a member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 374, past president of the St. Joseph Island Lions Club, was an active member of the St. Joseph Island community and a 26 year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy). Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Dr. David Zub officiating. Cremation has taken place with interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Gordon Lake at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Red Cross or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
