Marlene Cote

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marlene at the age of 88.

Cherished and devoted wife of Leo Corbiel. Loving mother of the late Dean, Toni-Anne, Terri and the late Todd Greco. Devoted Grandma of Krista, Tiana, late Alfie, Jena, and Lindsay Greco and Trent Pozzebon. Great grandmother of Tristen, Nicholas, Trinity, Little Dean and Grayson Greco. She is now reunited with her parents Israel Cote and Rosanna Cote (nee Boyer) and by her siblings Irene, Beatrice, Louie, Theresa, Rene, Ted and Bobby. Marlene will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She leaves behind many other friends and family who will mourn her loss. She will be deeply missed by her best friend Andrea Gibbs.

Marlene enjoyed a fulfilled career as a hair stylist. She had a passion for her work and loved connecting with her clients; she loved it so much she never stopped. You could often find her assisting residents at Kotitalo with their hair. The only thing she loved more than her work was her family. She was the matriarch of the Cote family and her memories will be treasured by them. Marlene has a great sense of humor and people would always flock to her at any gathering. She enjoyed her last years at Kotitalo and she will be missed by all of the Finnish Resthome family, especially Allie Mitchell.

As per Marlene's request, friends and family are invited to visit at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East, 705-759-2522) on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm for a visitation in her honour, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm officiated by Father Trevor Scarfone. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to Kotitalo would be greatly appreciated by the family.
