It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Mary-Lou with her family by her side. Mary-Lou married her best friend and soulmate Dave Wardlaw in September, 1982. Daughter of the late Ranveig and Gunther Klemm. Mary-Lou leaves behind her loving daughter, Shauna-Lee Dupuis and son Tim Wardlaw (Shay). Proud Nanny of Amanda and Alyssa Dupuis, and Amelia, Henley, and Chloe Wardlaw. Predeceased by her sister, Irene Socchia. She will be missed by her siblings Hans Klemm, Evelyn Weller and Karin Walker (Tom). She leaves behind many other extended family and friends.
Mary-Lou had many talents, from seamstress, to florist, to artist, to carpentry, but above all, she was proud to be a nurse for 23 years. She loved spending time with her family, including traditional European picnics under the tree with her grandchildren. In her retirement, she enjoyed painting, gardening and riding around the yard on her John Deere tractor. We will miss her strong will and determination to tackle any of life's challenges. She overcame many serious health challenges in her life, which only made her stronger.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff and Care team at Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury, as well as the Sault Area Hospital Doctors and nurses for their care and compassion, especially Dr. Woolner and Dr. Berg for going above and beyond.
Friends and family are invited to visit Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St E., 705-759-2522) for a Celebration of Life visitation in her honour on Monday May, 11, 2026 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Please visit www.arthurfuneralhome.com obituaries section to leave a message of condolence as a keepsake for the family.
