Michael John Tarchuk

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael John Tarchuk on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Mike passed away peacefully in the ICU at the Sault Area Hospital with the love of family surrounding him.

He is survived by his brother Keith (Maureen Bould) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike has now joined his loving parents William and Carole, along with family and friends who predeceased him for a reunion beyond this life.

Throughout his years with us, Mike loved spending time at the family camp fishing, hunting and relaxing in the company of family and friends while enjoying the beauty of nature there. His other interests included astronomy, mathematics, sports, movies and video games.

Mike was a devoted employee who took great pride in his work and appreciated the company of co-workers as well as their many customers.

His presence will be missed immensely. Mike always had a kind smile and loved sharing witty conversation with everyone.

A heartfelt thank you to the caring and compassionate doctors and nurses at the Sault Area Hospital for their exceptional care of Mike during his time there. Special thanks to Dr. Gu for her encouragement, kindness and belief in Mike throughout his time in her care, until his last moments.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
