

Dear daughter of the late George and Charlotte Lawrence. Devoted wife of the late John Pigeau from 1952 to 1961 and the late Norman Cardiff from 1963 to 2024. Loving children Michele (Gisele), Heather, Norman Jr. (Wendy) and Vicki Jean (Kevin). Dearly loved by grandchildren Karen, late Kimberley, Eric Jr., Thomas, Austin, Heather, Ally, Megan and Jamie. Her memory will always be cherished by her eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Born in Dundee, Scotland, she immigrated to Canada with her family in 1949, landing at Pier 21 in Halifax. The family settled in Oshawa where Norma survived Hurricane Hazel in 1954 and a close call with carbon monoxide poisoning. She later moved to Windsor and then settled in Sault Ste. Marie in 1959 until her passing on August 15, 2025.
Norma was a dedicated daughter, mother and wife. She was a 50 plus year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #25. Norma took pride in her involvement at the Legion, serving in the Women's Auxiliary, Colour Party, as well as volunteering at Sick and Visiting and making hundreds of corsage poppies for the Remembrance Day Fundraiser. She loved to bowl and garden and knit.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #25 (96 Great Northern Road, William Merrifield Room) for a celebration of life in Norma's honour on Sunday, August 24th, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to Operation Smile Canada would be greatly appreciated.
