To all the Smith family, I'm so sorry for your loss of Randy and hope to be able to come to the memorial next weekend.
I remember spending many weekends with our 2 families together enjoying your mother's great cooking, playing pool upstairs and listening to the latest music over the radio with all of you.
I'm sure my mother Doreen and sisters Kathy and Dorrie, send their condolences too and wish they could be here for you.

HI to all the Smith Clan,

It is wonderful that you are having a memorial service next week. I have thought of cousin Randy many times during quiet moments. Though we did not see each other very often, getting back with him was always easy. I guess that is the essence of a good friend.

Although I will not be able to join you next week, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Cheers to Randy. He is with us!

Randy was a warm and caring cousin of mine. He was there for all of us Robertsons when our parents and brother Arne died in recent years. My husband Richard and I always enjoyed seeing Randy and talking about his life in Toronto and ours out east where he visited once. We always had a good laugh together when we reminisced about the noisy family gatherings of the Smiths and Robertsons, with 14 kids between us and our mothers (Lundquist cousins), Ruby and Phyllis, preparing a fabulous feast each time midst the chaos. Us cousins almost matched kid for kid, but there were two more Smiths than Robertsons. I was Kathy's buddy and Randy was between Arne and Don. I, and my siblings, have so many fond memories of those Smith-Robertson childhood years and I can still picture Randy as a cheery little guy who was always right in there, big smile and part of the gang. Richard and I are sorry we can't be at the Memorial Service on St. Joe's Island in July, 2013 but here's thinking of you dear Randy with love, your cousin Mary

Randy was an honourable, caring man with a wonderful sense of humour. I first met Randy in 1989 while working for the Town of Oakville. After I retired, I had the pleasure of filling in for Janelle. May you rest in peace Randy.
