Raymond Ronald Joseph Brown

Raymond (Ray) Ronald Joseph Brown was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Ray will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

      Ray was born on December 13, 1971 at General Hospital in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. He was the son of Ronald and Yolande Brown. Ray grew up in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

      Ray was raised with two brothers. He had two younger brothers Marcel (4 years younger) and Eric (6 years younger). Ray was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.

      As a young boy, Ray had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Ray was an active child who took part in riding his bicycle. In his spare time he liked music, Ray enjoyed music from a very young age. Playing the drums as a teen until the time he passed. Ray's memorable achievements included............... However, to Ray, the most fun to be had was simply hanging out and spending time with his friends.

      A typical teenager, Ray had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. His favorite class in high school was T. V. Arts and Cooking.

       Empathic and loyal, Ray was committed to keeping his family happy.

      Fortunately, Ray enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Ray worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was school bus driver. He was employed as a camera man for Shaw TV. Raymond always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.

      Ray enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were playing the drums in a band, and playing video games. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.

      Ray enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for him to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included visiting Molly's Reach, home of the TV show "The Beachcombers".

      Ray was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of his favorites was a dog named Princess. They were best friends for 10 years.

      Ray passed away on November 12, 2013 at ARCH Hospice in Sault Ste Marie Ontario. He fought a brave battle for seven months against lung cancer. He is survived by his brothers Marcel and Eric Brown, his neices and nephews............................... Services were held at Aurther Funeral Home. Ray was laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

      Simply stated, Ray was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Ray leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Raymond Brown.
