THORNTON, Robert Edward – Peacefully passed away at Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in his 80th year. Husband of Barbara Thornton. Son of the late Abbie and Bessie Thornton. Father of Roberta, Howard and Tammy. Father-in-law of Diane. Stepfather of Ken (Pam), Darlene (David) and Stephen (Kathy). Brother of Howard and the late Joan. Grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of 10. Robert will be missed by Pumpkin and Charlie. A private family service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11 am. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (A.R.C.H.).
